Incognito

A Sketch by Jean-Pierre Martinez

Two characters enter. As they pass each other, they stop.
One – Do we know each other?
Two – No, I don’t think so.
One – That’s what I thought. We don’t know each other.
Two – You know, apparently, I’m not worth knowing.
One – Neither am I. No one can bear me.
Two – And no one can stand me.
One – So no point getting to know each other, right?
Two – When you’re not worth knowing, it’s best to stay discreet.
One – You’re right. Let’s pretend to ignore each other and travel incognito.
Two – I’ll go this way.
One – And I’ll go this way.
Two – I didn’t even see you.
One – I can’t stand you already.
They exit.
Blackout.
